What we do
Our Trustees in India and the UK carefully choose children to sponsor. The rigorous selection process involves meeting the child’s family in their home, reviewing school reports and interviewing the child as well as their teachers.  Additionally, the child’s parents are asked to commit to a ‘Parental Agreement’ where they promise among other things, to provide an undisturbed environment for their child to study and do homework.

Ongoing Support
To make the most of the opportunity, we stay in regular contact with the sponsored children, ensuring that everything is going well both at home and at school. We check their school attendance and reports, as well as catch up with their teachers to make sure everything is on track. If there are any issues, we become aware of these quickly and work together on resolving these appropriately.

Activity Days
All our sponsored children feel very much part of a wider ‘AMOK’ family. Our Trustees regularly arrange fun days for the sponsored children and their families to meet up, participate in lively educational games and have lots of fun.
